Ivy Walker was formed in Sweden in 2017 by singer Marcus Ehrenholm (The Embodied, Assailant) and multi-instrumentalist Magnus Florin (Lava Engine, Assailant). The purpose of the band was to combine solid songwriting, catchy melodies and the love for heavy metal.
A cover of Stratovarius‘ Against the Wind was released in 2018 which lead to some underground recognition. The reviewers praised the melodic vocals and the solid guitar playing.
Marcus then focused on his other band The Embodied, but that changed in late 2021 when Magnus started writing new songs for Ivy Walker.
Now fully focused on creating catchy heavy metal, Ivy Walker is ready to impress with his new single, The Light of a New Day.
