It’s still HEAVY Music Magazine, but not as you know it

After a 12-month period of settling in as new owners, restructuring and looking at the current market, we’ve decided to take HEAVY Music Magazine in a different direction.

The music coverage will still be our main focus but there have been some hard decisions made over the Christmas/New Year break and we’ve come to these conclusions.

HEAVY Music Magazine will no longer be available in a printed physical format

Why?  Because it’s hard enough to get people to actually buy physical music and even harder to get them to buy a physical magazine about music.

HEAVY Music Magazine will now be available as a FREE digital music magazine

Why?  Much the same reason as above but with the added bonus that allowing our 230,000+ social media audience to download it for free, instantly anywhere in the world will allow the publication to have a wider reach in countries other than Australia.

The magazine will still be available as a quarterly download and feature interviews, reviews and opinion pieces on the heavy music scene worldwide.

We’re confident this format will work because we’re experience massive hits and traffic on the website each day and our social media reach on Facebook alone is usually around the 500,000 + per week (and that’s organic reach – no paid Facebook ads here).

So as far as we’re concerned it’s business as usual for HEAVY Music Magazine – you’ll just receive your copy in a digital format and you won’t pay a dollar for it.

We’re working hard on our February issue, so please get in touch for advertising opportunities ([email protected]).  Yes, we’re an Australian based magazine but our readership is worldwide.

If you’re already a paid subscriber to the magazine, we’ll be in touch regarding refunds of your subscription.
