In Hearts Wake just released a new single and video from their forthcoming album Kaliyuga. The new song, “Dystopia” is the fourth release from the band’s carbon offset album out August 7, 2020.

“Dystopia”, like the album, is inspired by the Four Ages of Humanity as vocalist Jake Taylor explains, “Dystopia speaks of the fourth cycle and present age of the world known in Hinduism as ‘Kaliyuga’. Kaliyuga is often referred to as the dark age due to the predominate traits of discord, disconnection, destruction, materialism, oppression, cruelty and fear.”
“We look for the cause to cast the blame, but humanity need only look itself in the mirror. It is time for us to face and overcome the issues and challenges that currently threaten all life on Earth.”
Pertinent to what we are facing right here and now on Earth. It’s a wake-up call to change – and change is what we indeed need right now.
