Australian metalcore band Engraved have officially released their highly anticipated debut full-length studio album, Hymns For The Hollow, via XMusic.
Stepping up from their 2022 breakout EP, Unleashed, the Gold Coast-based five-piece infuses the record with a distinct early-2000s metalcore vibe. The debut highlights the band’s technical precision, pairing devastatingly heavy guitar work and rapid-fire drumming with haunting, melodic choruses that elevate their signature push-and-pull aggression.
Thematically, Hymns For The Hollow serves as a raw and unfiltered exploration of human psychological warfare, resilience, and personal redemption. Tracks like the anthemic single Pressure dive deep into the suffocating isolation and anxiety of reaching an absolute breaking point. Meanwhile, hard-hitting songs like Bleed confront the dark realities of betrayal and toxic envy. Rounded out by standout prior singles NCB and The Fallen, the debut album cements Engraved‘s positioning as an emerging, groundbreaking force in the modern heavy music scene.
