Contributor since 2015. Greg has been a devoted fan of heavy music since he first heard Van Halen as a kid back in the '80s. He 'matured' to the Big Four, survived the Grunge Revolution (and other fads) of the '90s, and has seen some of metal's biggest bands, as well as hundreds of lesser known bands in small venues from Gosford to Wollongong. His passion is supporting local heavy bands.
32 year old dude from Adelaide. Pretty immature, energetic, fit dude I guess. Love my music, meeting new people and sports, mostly bodyboarding, also love having a few beers with my mates, can't live without that. Music rules my life, I review gigs/cds for many magazines as well as interview bands for a lot of different publications.
I'm a vocalist/climber also.

Derek J. Huckel is an amalgam of live gigs and concerts since about 1989. Hard-Ons, Hellmen, Mass Appeal were the bill of a first show he attended and it all changed from there really. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Sex Pistols and Chipmunk Punk were early childhood faves. Mix that with these Sydney bands mentioned, and a steady diet of the Trade Union Club, Evil Star, Hopetoun Hotels and the St James Tavern who served a feast of other audio morsels ranging from those above, King Snake Roost, Roddy Radaj, and the Southern Fried Kidneys. Space Juniors and the Falling Joys. An eclectic mix of aural pleasures became his delectation. The 90's saw an addition of hardcore like Toe to Toe, and the like. London called for several years, a second home, and tastes thus broadened to include world music, and blues, also electronica, as new influences... It hasn't stopped.
Having previously lived in Malaysia, where he made a name for himself shooting concerts in the local music scene, Antoine moved to Melbourne to study photography. Peyton really wanted to interview the Danish post-punk band Iceage and accidentally became a music journalist. She’s currently studying at Macquarie University and is probably listening to My Chemical Romance at this very moment. If you recognise her name, it’s also because she’s written for Killyourstereo, Blunt Magazine and I Probably Hate Your Band. She probably really likes your band.
