DigiMag #344 is special for a lot of reasons, but the biggest is staring you straight in the face when you look at the cover and see one of the Gods of Metal staring back at you.

We are proud to feature Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson, who put some time aside recently to talk to us about his new solo album, The Mandrake Project. We also spent time with Ingested, Paledusk, Suicidal Angels and The Crystal Method.

There’s plenty happening in the world of music and touring so keep up to date on news from Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash, Dark Water, The Hard Ons, Witchgrinder, Regurgitator, Palaye Royale, The Midnight Devils, Skillet, The Hellacopters, Linkin Park, Angelus Apatrida and Between You & Me.

The other special thing this week is the very first of a new column called Featured Album Review, where HEAVY reviews an upcoming album and then interviews the band and runs through our thoughts one song at a time, with the band setting the record straight. It’s a fantastic and fresh approach to new music and what better band/person to start with than Ezekiel Ox who talks about Mammal‘s new album The Penny Drop.

We also bring you a stack of new music from Cabal, Thornhill. Knocked Loose, Quantum, Ace Frehley, Sum 41, Unpeople, Amaranthe, Flaming Wrekage, Belmont, The Transits, Hammer King, Morta Skuld, Leaves Eyes, Dust Bolt and Danko Jones.

Our review team gave their thoughts on new albums from Mammal, Ministry and Mick Mars, while the live team checked out gigs from Of Mice & Men, Atreyu and Klash Of The Titans.

And if you’re still hungry for more, check out HEAVY Cinema for the latest in news, reviews and previews from Hollywood.

That should keep you out of trouble for a bit. Until next time, stay HEAVY
