After releasing two albums together with Judas Priest last century (makes it sound old hey), vocalist Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens and guitarist K.K. Downing reunited in 2021 under the guise of K.K’s Priest and showed they had lost none of their passion for metal with their debut album Sermons Of The Sinner. In a nutshell, it fucken rocked, and now KK’s Priest are back to show that album was no flash in the pain with next week’s release of the follow-up The Sinner Rides Again.

Ripper sat down for a great chat with HEAVY during the week, talking about the album and taking a trip down memory lane.

We also spoke with Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons, Nervosa, Choirboys and TesseracT in typical HEAVY fashion – i.e straight to the point and entertaining.

A lot of news and tour stuff landed over the last week, so catch up on the goss from Social Distortion, Trophy Eyes, Rose Tattoo, Live, Incubus, Black Flag, Yours & Owls, NuMetal Mayhem, Baroness, Wind Rose and Hyro The Hero.

If you’re looking for some new tunes to crank have a crack at new singles from Pain, Steven Wilson, Nth Rd, Of Mice & Men, SCREAM, Blackbriar, Brujeria, Pierce The Veil, Dirty Sound Magnet, Alien Weaponry, The Sons Of Sounds, New Model Army, Beartooth, Extreme, Invent Animate, Varg, Hollow Front, In This Moment, Helmet and Before The Dawn plus our review team brings you their verdict on new albums from Paul Rogers and CMFT as well as pix and reviews from Cattle Decapitation and Living Colour/Extreme.

If that’s still not enough for you, check out the latest news, reviews and previews from Hollywood with HEAVY Cinema.

Until next time, stay HEAVY
