2021 is upon us and unfortunately, the changing of the year didn’t change the situation we are in…
As I write this from my home base in Brisbane live gigs in the greater Brisbane area this weekend have been postponed due to an emergency 3-day lockdown we are suddenly thrust into. In saying that, musically it has been a great start to the year.
This week we feature interviews with Michael Schenker about his new album Immortal, Epica about their latest release, South Australian rockers Higgs Field about their debut EP and the first of a four-part interview series with Brisbane bassist Ian “Squirty” Graham titled ‘My Band Years‘.

Forget the turmoil and use this time to fall in love with metal all over again. There is plenty happening all around the world so bury your mind in music and try to forget about everything else. Music is the answer… now what was the question?
The Australian Artists weekly Digi-mag will return next week as well. In typical Australian fashion, our local artists took an extra week off over the festive season so they shall be back in the limelight a week later than the rest of the world!
Until then, Happy New Year readers and stay HEAVY,
