When I first took over at HEAVY, one of my main focus points was giving greater opportunities and coverage to Australian artists.
One of my ideas was to put out an extra Digital Magazine each week that featured Australian and New Zealand content only. It was an ambitious and time-consuming plan, but one which I tried anyway.
Now, nearly 2 years later, HEAVY is proud to introduce you to the 100th issue of that digi!
To celebrate the occasion we feature Brisbane outfit Tetrament on the cover, but there’s a stack more interviews from Frankenbok, Resurrection, Krave, D-A-D, Hardcore Superstar, Dead City Ruins, Void Of Vision, Teddy Rizzo and Skeletal Remains as well.
We also proudly premiere the new tracks from Frankenbok, Tetrament and All This Filth as well as the full EP from Scandal Tree, along with all of the tour news and news from Alexisonfire, Dead City Ruins, Saosin, Patient Lounge, Sacred Reich, Vio-Lence, Good Things’ sideshows, Counting Crows, Stoner, The Hard-Ons and Whiteford.
There’s also heaps of new music from Indigo Blaze, Edgecliffe, Stalker, Nocturnal Anmals, To The Grave, Among The Restless, The Poor, Windwaker, Clay J Gladstone, Throwaway, Void Of Vision, East Capri, Frankenbok and Carbon Black.
Our review team checked out George Thorogood and IDLES, plus we get to review the upcoming album from Disturbed.
Not a bad way to celebrate 100 issues!
Until next week, stay HEAVY,
