Plenty happening in the local music scene at the moment and this week sees interviews with five Australian bands who are gearing up for a massive 2021!

From Crisis To Collapse join us to talk about next weekends The Other Festival and what the band has been up to, we speak with Void of Vision‘s Jack Bergin and Thornhill‘s Jacob Charlton about their new collaboration on “Year of the Rat”, Harroway talk us through their crushing new single “Final Letter”, The Wolston Butchers add a touch of humour and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets continue the laughs with a great chat about what they have been up to and are planning.

Ian ‘Squirty’ Graham gives us Part 3 of his Band Years series, this time focussing on his time with Bull Bolt Method and 12 Rounds With Johnny Boxer returns this week with questions asked by Diskust and Piston Fist while on the road. Believe me when I say it is compelling listening!

There’s news about the next Serenity in Brutality show at the Mansfield Tavern featuring Osaka Punch, the Silverchair back catalogue being released via Sony Music Australia, the return of the Metal Sunday Sess at the Woolly Mammoth thanks to MMK Music Promotions and the upcoming tour from Belle Haven.

We have two premiere singles with “Final Letter” by Harroway and “Sideways” from Stonetrip plus we review the new albums/EP’s from Werewolves and Nicolas Cage Fighter.

As far as new music goes, there is an assortment of metal genres with Astrodeath, Tuscan Turbo, Scourge of Suffering, Nicolas Cage Fighter, Kaiser and the Machines of Creation, Proposal, Those Who Dream, The Silencio, Feculent, Cousin Betty and Stalker all releasing fresh tracks during the week.

If you live in Brisbane by now you are getting pumped for The Other Festival next weekend, but don’t forget the From Crisis To Collapse/Diskust/Awake In Time show on February 11 at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse in Burleigh Heads.

Next week we will be announcing a new festival taking place in Victoria later in the year with…. sorry, I can’t tell you just yet!

Until then, stay HEAVY

Krispy
