HARD-ONS To Release HARD-ONS – THERE WAS A TIME: SINGLES AND EP’S 1984 TO 1999

For the better part of 1984 through 1999, Sydney band the Hard-Ons ruled the Australian alternative music sphere, racking up an impressive run of 21 consecutive Independent Chart no.1’s. This included the bulk of their 7” single output; classics like Girl in the Sweater, All Set to Go, Just Being With You and Where Does She Come From, while other chart toppers included their iconic cover of the AC/DC classic Let There Be Rock featuring indie-godfather Henry Rollins on vocals and Where the Wild Things Are, a double 7” with The Celibate Rifles which celebrated a 1992 tour of the same name.

Now, for the very first time, all sixteen 7” vinyl singles, CD singles and CD EPs have been gathered in one place under one banner Hard-Ons – There Was A Time: Singles and EPs 1984-1999 and released to all digital platforms.

The impressive 41 song collection includes all the above titles, but also rarities like the Hard-Ons‘ 2nd ever release, a flexi-disc of sixties garage classics The EloisBy My Side and The LegendsI’ll Come Again, given away in 1986 with Melbourne fanzine The Livin’ End, their 1989 gig giveaway cover of the Damned’s Sick Of Being Sick and the complete Ed Kuepper sessions from 1999 featuring European only singles You Disappointed Me and Sharks Head and Australian only CD EP Yesterday & Today.

There Was A Time is released to all digital platforms here –https://hardons.lnk.to/therewasatime – and NOW….
