German hardcore powerhouse Half Me release their new album Dogma on October 23 via Arising Empire. Combining crushing metallic hardcore, oppressive grooves and emotionally charged songwriting with an even stronger focus on atmosphere and dynamics, the album delivers some of the band’s heaviest, darkest and most emotionally resonant material to date.
“DOGMA is a reflection on a society willingly taking part in its own collapse,” the band said.
We are indoctrinated to embrace our downfall without question. We laugh at the ruins of fallen empires, convinced ours will stand forever, blind to the fact that history has always punished that same arrogance. Fear has become the most effective weapon. Manufactured, amplified, and repeated until we willingly put on our invisible chains.
We are pitted against each other, distracted by artificial dilemmas and everyday struggles, kept busy surviving instead of questioning. Truth and lies dissolve into blurred lines, leaving us trapped in a state of trauma-induced ignorance where we unknowingly become complicit in our own demise.
DOGMA doesn’t pretend to offer solutions. It begins from the unsettling assumption that the damage may already be irreversible. But if there is any purpose left, it is to look closer and challenge what is accepted as absolute truth and expose the systems that thrive on our obedience.
Our upcoming Crusades are an extension of that idea: not a call to arms, but an invitation to look behind the dogma.“
