Hadal Maw release sick live vid to open tour

Share This:

Melbourne tech-death ensemble Hadal Maw has kicked off a slamming summer tour by dropping a spanking new live vid for their track ‘Altar of Ire’.

The brutal little boys from the bottom of the Bass Strait chose HEAVY’s own Brewtality festival, held at the Tote and Bendigo Hotels in October 2013, as the right time and place to pull off this particularly unholy recording, and HEAVY’s own website as the place to check it out.

Since releasing their first video in late 2012, Hadal has been spreading the sickness wherever the wind takes ’em. They’ve racked up gigs with NZ world-beaters Ulcerate, as well as Aussie maniacs The Amenta and King Parrot, and are now kicking their crushing brand of groove laden, technical death metal into overdrive before they enter the studio to record their debut album.

The band is heading into Three Phase studios later this month to commence pre-production with producer/engineer Sam Johnson, and fans can expect a slew of voracious videos documenting the sessions over January and February. Studio vids are the shizzle,  but this writer in particular is hoping the vids don’t distract them from the task at hand. We can’t wait any longer, yo. Bring it.

Hadal Maw kicks off their tour in Adelaide tonight with local kingpins Voros, who are launching a new EP. Joining the bill is Imminent Psychosis and Headbore.

‘Altar of Ire’ is available for audio download from Hadal’s bandcamp site, as is a new line of Hadal Maw ‘logo’ singlets and shirts from the web stores listed below.
