New Zealand based Heavy Rock outfit Haast Hunter have unleashed their biting new single and music video Spite. The new single is taken from their forthcoming album, set for release later this year.
“It wasn’t until I hit my mid 20’s that I really started to realize how common Tall Poppy Syndrome and toxic, spiteful tendencies are in people. Now as I approach turning 40, witnessing people mature into these traits that they have cultivated, I feel they either A) Remain ignorant to their ways, or B) Lean into it with an uncompromising acceptance and truly own the person they have become. In all honesty I prefer the latter – at least it’s honest. “SPITE’ is the embodiment of this duality, whilst also weaving in and out of an intertwined internal battle of realization and defeat.”
