To say that GUTTERFIRE! have been itching to get out on the road in a meaningful way for a while doesn’t quite get to the heart of it. The past three years have been rough for the music industry as a whole and after finishing their debut album just weeks shy of the country’s first lockdown, their Still More Chill tour feels like a long-awaited release both in terms of getting the album out on the road and reclaiming a trajectory that until then had been quite something. Now with six singles, a debut album and shows far up and down the coast of QLD in the bag, it’s time.
The tour will see the band playing 21 shows (and counting) venturing as far north as Cairns and as far south as Geelong, as they finally venture into NSW & VIC for the first time with their good friends in Glycereens and hitting the stage with local legends such as Nunchukka Superfly, Dreamkillers, El Colosso, Planet of the 8’s, Systematic Machine, Wasabi Barbie, Violet, and Lamassu. Joining them along the way will be a who’s who of local talent sure to put on something special in every city and town they roll into on this mammoth tour.
The band have been keen to take their electric live shows out for a proper run for a good few years now, and you can bet that all that pent up energy will only add to what the band plans to unleash on crowds each and every night. They’ve got a point to make before they close the book on this chapter and head straight back into the studio for album number 2. So catch them while you can at a venue near you!
