Much speculation has surrounded the rumoured Guns N’ Roses reunion, with the band’s website being updated to include the original Guns N’ Roses band logo.
Discussion started back a few months ago when it was alleged that an original line-up reunion could earn the band $100 million. Prior to that, Alternative Nation ran a story stating that there was a strong rumour that Guns N’ Roses could perform at Soundwave Festival 2016. That rumour was sparked by Melbourne’s Cherry Bar owner, James Young. That rumour was definitely squashed on 17 December 2015, when Soundwave Festival was cancelled due to financial troubles.
Back in November 2015, Dish Nation reported that Slash and Axl were in talks to get the band back together with the band supposedly headlining several major festivals in Europe and the U.S, before heading out on a worldwide tour.
And while lots of people have speculated there will be an announcement in “a matter of days” every time there’s news, nothing concrete has come to light yet. However, with 2016 on a few days away, we’re tipping that the announcement could come on 1 January 2016. For the gamblers among you, we think the odds of that happening look very good at 5 to 1.*
Guns N’ Roses clips have been shown at Star Wars: The Force Awakens cinema sessions over the Christmas break fueling more speculation that something big is about to happen.
