GRUB, the unapologetically fierce rock outfit led by the brutally honest and darkly humorous Matilda Beales, is back with a powerful new single, The Floor, a track born from the depths of personal struggle and transformed into an anthem of resilience and shared emotions – out 13 February.
Following on from November’s debut single, Ghost, GRUB is creating a discography reflective of their ethos—raw, unapologetic, and profoundly human, inviting listeners to embrace life’s messiness, to feel deeply, and to find strength in solidarity.
Frontwoman Matilda Beales penned The Floor during a challenging chapter of her life, midway through chemotherapy, sharing, “I was feeling pretty awful and spending a lot of time lying on my bedroom floor. So this was my attempt at a bit of a ‘pull up your boot straps and get on with it’ sort of vibe.”
