Originally hailing from Fanny Barks, UK, and forming in 1790, after having arrived on the first fleet to what was known back then as The British Colony of New South Wales, these two rotting, stinking, bubbling corpses that are GOPHER have wasted no time piecing together their astonishing, must hear debut album Tunnel Buddies, set for release on May 1.
The first taste from these shingle ridden relics, is the single and video for Kupu Kupu Malam. A playful yet gritty ditty on their love of life and nature. Being as hip as they are and not afraid of mixing genres, you might mistake the intro for being some shithouse nightclub anthem. But just as you get your knickers in a twist, they smack you right in the face the old school way. Open handedly with a hot bed of fat riffs, double kicks, blast beats, filthy vocals, before launching into a flamboyant sing along chorus.
