Set amongst the lush bushland confines of Dashville, in the Hunter Valley, Thrashville returns, ready for a one day explosion of punk, rock, metal and all in between, on the darkest, firiest day of the year, Saturday, June 27, 2026.
This years line-up is a cracker, with FEAR (USA), Disentomb, The Bennies, Dregg, Hybrid Nightmares, Turtle Skull, Good Sniff, Private Wives, Couch Wizard, Catpiss, Purple Disturbance, Pyrefly, Whisperhead, Happy Fuckin Family, Immortal Within, I Hate People and Shacked! all set to deliver a great weekend of live entertainment.
HEAVY sent each band a short Q&A in order to get to know them a bit better. Today we get better acquainted with Dregg.
HEAVY: THRASHVILLE 2026 is nearly upon us. Have you ever been to Thrashville before as a punter or performing?
DREGG: First time for all of us!
H: What does it mean to you to be playing Thrashville?
D: It’ll be great to get lost in the chaos of the weekend and experience the festival as both performers and
punters.
H: How important are festivals like Thrashville for Australian bands?
D: Very, any opportunities to play to new crowds and with new bands is a blessing.
H: Which bands are you most looking forward to and why?
D: Very keen to see FEAR play Australia for the first time.
H: It’s a long day of music. What will you be doing to make sure you will still be standing come your set time?
D: Whatever is necessary I guess haha, we’re not strangers to stamina.
H: Give me your Top 3 Festival survival tips.
D: Use ear plugs, drink water and check out as much music as possible.
H: Which band – other than yourself – do you think will get up to the most mischief on the day?
D: Just going off names Cat Piss or Good Sniff sound like they could get up to some trouble.
H: What song do you think the crowd would want you to play to finish your set and what are you going to play?
D: We keep the set list secret until the night. 😉
H: What one song would you tell festival goers to listen to of yours if they haven’t heard you play before?
D: Either Dog Cunts or Butterscotch Biscuits.
H: What is your most recent release?
D: Our debut album The Art Of Everything.
H: Finally, what plans does your band have for the rest of 2026?
D: Play as many shows as we can while we work on new music.
