Padded Cell Productions and BMF Productions present Metal in the Mountains 2026. To be held at Beechworth Historic Precinct, 100 Ford Street, Beechworth, Victoria, from November 13 to 15, this dose of alternative, underground culture proudly stands behind the Historic Precinct buildings of Beechworth.
Returning for a massive seventh year in the centre of Beechworth with a full range of heavy bands, ready to pummel the granite foundations into sand, this year’s show will not hold back. The peaceful citizens of the quiet historic township of Beechworth will be shaken from their vintage homes. The earth itself will quake, and the cockatoos will scream from the trees. All within earshot will know that Metalhead Ned is back in town.
The full line up is Segression, Elm Street, PistonFist, Kitchen Witch, Hematemesis, Helluloid, Virulent Invocation and Raise The Fallen. HEAVY has sent out Q&A’s to all of the bands to find out more about them and what to expect, with Raise The Fallen the focus of todays session.
RAISE THE FALLEN
Raise the Fallen is an emerging four-piece hardcore and deathcore band hailing from the quiet, rural corners of Wodonga and the Albury region in Victoria, Australia. Known for their heavy, bone-crushing breakdowns and ferocious live energy, the group has quickly carved out a reputation in the regional Australian metal scene by seamlessly blending raw, aggressive vocals with technical instrumental precision.
The band’s upward trajectory was cemented in late 2025 when they took out the top spot in the band category at the regional Battle of the Bands finals. This victory, supported by the Victorian Government’s Amplify program, highlighted their commanding stage presence and dynamic musical chemistry.
They have also become a formidable live act, sharing stages with notable extreme metal and hardcore acts across Victoria. They are scheduled to open the prominent Metal in the Mountains festival in the historic township of Beechworth, playing alongside heavyweights such as Segression, Elm Street, and PistonFist. Whether performing at intimate Melbourne venues like the Bad Decisions Bar or conquering regional festival stages, Raise the Fallen continues to expand their footprint as a defining new voice in the next generation of Australian heavy music.
