Frankenbok transcend the normal parameters of metal, boasting a diversity and sound that epitomises a band that is comfortable within their confines, unafraid to try anything and impulsively applying that to their craft. After the return of original vocalist Hutchy last year, the Melbourne metal machine have wasted little time in getting back to their roots, first releasing the crushingly brutal single Demon Tantrum before following it up with an audacious cover of Dead Or Alive‘s You Spin Me Round (Like A Record), showcasing the extremities to which Frankenbok have gone in finding themselves again musically. Their new five-track EP titled Irrepressible is out on January 31, 2025.
