Sydney pop-punk trio Forever Ends Here announce their return after five years away with their flirtatious new single, Cherry Chapstick. The song will be toured across Australia in July on The Return Of Forever Ends Here Tour, tickets on sale now via Destroy All Lines.
New single Cherry Chapstick exudes irresistible charm and captures the essence of a classic Forever Ends Here pop punk song with a mature, modern flair – It’s raw, it’s catchy, it’s jumpy and it’s energetic.
Setting the tone for their long-awaited comeback, the track is produced in collaboration with Rich Mammoliti, mixed by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Stand Atlantic) and mastered by Grant Berry (Yours Truly, PVRIS).
Thematically Cherry Chapstick mirrors the nature of the song sonically, inviting listeners into an enthralling chase of lust. Vocalist and songwriter Luke McChesney says, “lyrically the song is about being involved with someone who you know is playing you, and playing them right back – ‘I can be your cherry chapstick, pressed against your lips til you lose me. You can keep me in your pocket, you always look your best when you use me’”.
