Five Songs/Albums/Artists That Inspire WHATEVER, FOREVER’s Sound

Share This:

Nick Adams: Stay by Narrow Head

Why: NH has a sound that’s both grimy and ethereal. That combined with some really moody lyrics absolutely hits the spot for me and easily can be named as one of my influences.

Chas Levi: Flee The Flesh by My Ticket Home

Why: There is something special about this record, this song is heavy and balances such dark riffs with catchy chorus’ so well, very much satisfied an itch to hear. It provided us with a great contrast for writing this current release.

Chas Levi: With You by Linkin Park
Why: Hybrid Theory for its sound is easily one of the greatest records of all time, this band I think has always subconsciously steered the ship on writing music and even for wanting to join a band like Whatever, Forever in the first place.

Nick Adams: Drown by Citizen
Why: This song/citizen in general gave us a framework of chords to start with when we were finding the sound, we’ve then gone from there and run our own way a bit.

Jack Rudder” Deftones Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)
Why: Thick guitar tone, huge riffs and an inspiration pool that never fails to hit when you need it most. I think it’s safe to say the three of us are all in love with this band.
