Finding Better Health write sprawling anthems for the end of the movie, or the start of the drunken
march home. The four-piece outfit hailing from the suburbs of Sydney take influence from shoegaze,
incorporating elements of post-hardcore and post-rock, but with an immediacy that recalls the
beginnings of emocore – and today, they are making a powerful statement with the follow-up to their
debut single.
Why Didn’t You Appear/It Won’t Burn Forever are a pair of songs that immediately bring you back
to Midwestern towns in 2009 – Think La Dispute, Touché Amoré, and Seahaven all on the same bill for
a fiver. The release was mixed and engineered by Clayton Segelov and Angie Watson (Shady Nasty,
Endless Heights, Whatever Forever) of the Brain Studios, and is out now.
