It may have taken him 142 years, but Fans will soon have the opportunity to meet The Vampire Diaries star Michael Malarkey as he heads down under for Oz Comic-Con Brisbane and Sydney in September.

Michael had his beginnings on the London stage appearing in various theatre productions including adaptations of The Great Gatsby in the role of Jay Gatsby and the musical Million Dollar Quartet in the role of singer Elvis Presley before turning his focus to the screen.

He appeared in short films Good Morning Rachel (2009) and Ghost in the Machine (2012) and in the TV feature film Impirioso before landing the role of Lorenzo “Enzo” St. John in season 5 of The Vampire Diaries. After gaining popularity with the viewing public, Michael’s role was upgraded to a main one from the beginning of the following season.

Michael is the first in what promises to be yet another amazing line up of talent which Oz Comic-Con has become so well known for. Guests will be taking part in professional photograph and autograph opportunities across the weekend, as well as answering fans’ burning questions in exclusive question and answer panels.

Oz Comic-Con Brisbane and Sydney will also feature local and international comic artists, exclusive workshops, dedicated Cosplay, anime and gaming areas. There will be family activities and a show floor filled with retailers catering to every fandom.  With something for fans of every age, genre and interest, Oz Comic-Con Brisbane and Sydney will not disappoint!

Brisbane: 23 -24 September at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre

Sydney: 30 September -1 October at the International Convention Centre Sydney
