Plans to adapt Marvel‘s Inhumans to the big screen have been discussed since 2011. Comic fans looked forward to an entirely new superhero team, taking its place beside the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, following the financial failure of ABC‘s Agent Carter, the network sought a new Marvel show to bring to the masses.
Inhumans is set to fill this gap, with Anson Mount (Non-Stop, Safe) playing the lead role of Black Bolt, King of Attilan; and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as his treacherous brother Maximus.
Inhumans will premiere on ABC on September 29th.
