From the Cornetto Trilogy to Marvel to a Pharrell Williams music video (“Gust of Wind“, for anyone interested), Edgar Wright has enjoyed plenty of high-profile work in the past few years.
So now, with the release of the much-anticipated Baby Driver, expectations are high. Following the tale of a young getaway driver, the film stars Ansel Elgort (Carrie, the Divergent series) as the titular Baby, with Kevin Spacey, Lily James, and Jamie Foxx in supporting roles.
Though far cry from the distinctly British humour of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, the movie promises a blend of Wright’s signature wit and heavy themes.
Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.
