Highly touted Indian hard rockers Fifth Note are a recent signing to Frontiers and will release their debut album, Here We Are, on December 8. A first single and video from it for the song Always Love You are available from today.
Based in the city of Kohima, the capital of the north-eastern state of Nagaland, Fifth Note formed in 2019 from the ashes of what had been a Christian-themed outfit with prog metal and classic old school hard rock influences. Having started out performing covers (including songs by future label mates Stryper and Circus Maximus), they eventually released their own songs Misfortune and Here We Are as singles in 2021. This led to local support slots followed by multiple invites to perform from around their home state and beyond, resulting in them winning several prestigious awards and gaining a considerable following.
Here We Are includes both early singles plus nine more superbly crafted songs somewhat akin to the melodic hard rock meets progressive stylings of compatriots About Us, who released their own well received debut album in late 2022.
