Following the release of their emotionally raw single, Anne Marie, Eora/Sydney punks FANGZ return with an explosive music video that’s equal parts tribute and chaos. The band will release their debut album, Shui – on Friday, July 4, via Impressed Recordings.
Directed by Rhys Bennett (DZ Deathrays, Totally Unicorn), the video is set in a makeshift break room inside a borrowed warehouse. To bring the clip to life, FANGZ went full DIY. “We asked our boss if we could use a corner of his warehouse because we’re poor,” the band explains. “We wanted to smash a whole bunch of stuff towards the camera, so we ordered three pieces of plexiglass off Amazon and built a custom rig to protect the gear. Luckily, Josh is a carpenter,” they add.
The result is a loud, messy, and unapologetically FANGZ-style tribute to live music, chaos, and the people who keep you going. “Playing live is our therapy. This track is us saying thank you the only way we know how—loudly. And yes—everyone involved walked away with a chest infection from inhaling ceramic and glass dust.”
