Building on the momentum established with their righteous recent releases Slave To The Sword (2014), Ride Forth (2016) and Sound Of Steel (2018), the Los Angeles-based Exmortus will release a new EP, Legions Of The Undead, on October 25 via the band’s own Exmortus Music, in cooperation with M-Theory Audio.
The five-track release – which was recorded earlier this year with longtime producer Zack Ohren (Machine Head, Warbringer, Immolation) at Oakland’s Sharkbite Studios – features a Halloween/horror theme, with two new original songs (the title track and Swallow Your Soul, the latter of which will premiere on September 13.
The EP, which will be released on CD, digital and limited-edition green slime-colored vinyl, also includes covers of three well-known instrumentals performed in the band’s inimitable neoclassical metal style – Danny Elfman‘s Beetlejuice theme, Bernard Hermann’s iconic Psycho Theme and 19th Century Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky‘s haunting Night On Bald Mountain.
