Following on from their 2011 debut EP Pillars, Sydney’s Neotokyo have released ‘Neon’ and you can stream it here, exclusively through HEAVY magazine.
In the same vein as contemporaries Dead Letter Circus, ‘Neon’ comprises textured melodies and dynamic riffs that are as powerful as they are colourful. Mixed in the UK by Chris Sheldon (Karnivool, Foo Fighters) and recorded/produced at Brain Studios by Clayton Segelov, the three-and-a-half-minute track builds a dramatic rock soundscape in time to embed itself in your brain and ends just in time to leave you wanting more. Catchy, well-crafted and honing a modern, progressive sound, ‘Neon’ embodies all the components of a quality rock song.
