Brisbane metallers, Tria Mera, have released a new video for The Sacrifice.  The latest single from Extinction EP, the video was was shot in Brisbane, Australia and features members of the public listening to the track and trying to decipher the lyrics.

Vocalist Ben Davis has this to say about the track:

“We all sacrifice something. Everyday we get out of bed, go to work, come home and sleep. We continue this cycle until we can’t remember when each day began and for what? We are told what to think, say and do but sometimes it doesn’t sit right. So we begin questioning and searching for truth. Why do I stay chained to this system? Why do I continually let myself be blinded by convenience? What’s it all for?”.

The clip sort of represents that search for truth in the words and thoughts that are thrown at us. We went out and asked people to interpret what they heard and each person heard something different. We believe that it shows each person’s way of figuring out their own path and ultimately, their own sacrifice, and they also had some fun in doing so!” Davis goes on to explain the idea behind the clip.

The band have also revealed their new guitarist, Rhys Cockram.  He replaces Ian Konrad who departed the band in September.  The band will finish off 2015 with a spot on the Ye Gods Of Metal Festival line-up in Brisbane on 5 December at the New Globe Theatre before they bunker down to write new music.
