Every Time I Die have entered the studio to record the follow up to 2014’s, From Parts Unknown. They have hit the studio with Will Putney in their hometown of Buffalo, New York. Every Time I Die have been relentlessly touring since the last album, all across the US and throughout Europe and the UK.
Additionally, the time in between saw the individual talents of the members of Every Time I Die come into play. Vocalist and lyricist Keith Buckley released his first novel, Scale in 2015. Guitarist Andy Williams made his pro wrestling debut and is a member of the tag-team Pythons. Meanwhile, guitarist Jordan Buckley was announced as the official designer for all Vans Warped Tour 2016 art. Seemingly the band has so much creative output that it cannot be contained in a single project.
Frontman Keith Buckley says of the recording process: “You would think that by now the studio process is pretty familiar to us, but in just the first week Will has taught us things about ourselves that make it feel as if we’ve never even stepped foot in one. He has stripped our music down to the bolts and laid everything out on display and only now that we’re able to see how each part functions can we fix it, shine it and put it back together into a machine that runs better than it ever has. This album will be our 1974 Ford Falcon XB Interceptor. Get the f*ck out of the way.”
