What Do You Want is a confrontational, no-holds-barred anthem about pushing back against outside voices, the people who tell you how to live, what to do, and why you’ll never get it right. It’s a blunt reminder that there will always be critics and control seekers trying to slow you down and a slap in the face to anyone standing in your way.
Electric State describe the track as a song about resilience and momentum. “There will always be people who try to bring you down, they’re just speed bumps in the road. You’ve got to keep moving.”
