New Zealand’s finest rock exports Ekko Park have released their hauntingly beautiful next single The North. Frontman Joe Walsh has called Auckland home for decades, but his early life growing up in Ireland never strays from his heart.
As an autobiographical story, The North hits home for Joe. He comments on the song; “‘The North’ is the story of a broken man trying to put the pieces back together, to make sense of the senseless. Questioning what it means to be ‘home’. The what, who, where and why. It’s peeling back the layers of memories decades old, hoping to find peace in the present day.”
