Blending country, Americana, and ‘70s yacht rock, Texas-born singer-songwriter Effy Harvard, known for her timeless twang, has released her new single, Heatwave.
Written by Effy, Heather Morgan, and Jade Eagleson and recorded at Modern Electric Sound Recorders in Texas, the track weaves pedal steel, organ, and layered guitars into a warm, nostalgic sound that nods to the sun-soaked textures of ‘70s yacht rock while remaining rooted in Effy’s country and Americana sensibilities.
Effy shares, “I wrote Heatwave to experience how a summer love feels like freedom, everything is exciting and somehow familiar.”
