Brisbane metal stalwarts Dreamkillers have been decimating crowds with their unique blending of punk infused metal for over three decades, along the way gathering a loyal army of fans who have proudly followed the band since their debut EP Poison In The Soup in 1992.
Some have been there since before that even when Les Jobson fronted legendary local outfit Mystery Of Sixes, but it didn’t matter where you knew the enigmatic and outspoken Jobson from. All that mattered was how great he was fronting any band he played with.
Some of Dreamkillers past shows are legendary, with one of them closed down by police resulting in a riot and others just because of the intense live shows where Les would appear naked except for gaff tape over parts of his anatomy, the colours of his many tattoos acting as a full body cover from where most punters stood.
It wasn’t uncommon to see and feel fire from the stage, caged dancers, and/or vertically challenged people doing whatever the fuck they wanted.
To put it simply, Dreamkillers were the masters of all they surveyed.
Actually, not were. ARE.
Dreamkillers are still the masters of all they survey, leading by example and attitude rolled into one.
After what many hoped wasn’t a one off show earlier this year as part of HEAVY’s 10th birthday celebrations, Dreamkillers are back and coming to a venue near you!
The fire has been rekindled and rages strong, and with new music being produced as we speak Dreamkillers are set to show yet another generation of music lovers just how things are done old school.
On October 15 Dreamkillers make their first visit to the Sunshine Coast since forever at Norton Music Factory and are bringing with them a host of friends including Gutterfire!, Sailing In Space, Pity Vincent The Band and The Yeah Nahs.
And what’s better is it will be an all ages show, with tickets for Under 18’s $15 and over 18’s $20.
