Metal fans across the country will be pleased to know that the one, the only, giga[byte]festival of our dreams, Download Festival, might well be extending its bandwidth for Australians to access.

In other words, it looks like Download Festival is porting in Australia!

Still reeling from the loss of Soundwave we might be able to pick ourselves up again before we know it. History shows the Soundwave calendar averaging around late Jan, early Feb. So, we could well expect an official announcement within a month or two.

Here’s what’s sparked the excitement:

With a killer 2016 line-up Download featuring headlining beasts such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Deftones, Rammstein, Korn… you’d think you died and ended up in Valhalla, wouldn’t you?

While we could express our overwhelming excitement all day and night long, we’ed rather recommend you download the ‘Download Festival’ app to get an insight into what you can expect to be experiencing next year, 2017!

Download the Download Festival App on Apple or Google Play for free and start exploring it in terabytes. We did and found ourselves living vicariously and pondered, “Will it be a one, two or three-day festival? Who would be the main headliner/s? Could it possibly be a band starting with the letter ‘M’ and ending in ‘A’?”

Download your dreams to us below [in the comments area] and tell us who you would like to see at Download Festival, Australia!
