Melbourne alternative rock outfit divedown announce their debut EP, Where They May, will be available Friday, May 29 via Ninth Life Records. As a first taste of the release, the band today unveil new single Calm Me, and announce EP launch show in Melbourne on Saturday, June 13. Tickets on sale now.
An upbeat and driving pop punk tune with a constant groove that keeps you hanging on, Calm Me captures divedown at their most exposed. The new single channels anxiety, isolation and relentless self-criticism, unpacking the pressure of trying to hold yourself together while feeling stuck in your own head.
“It’s about anxiety, depression and how I tend to be really hard on myself in all aspects of my life,” says frontman Sam Bianco. “From my own mental health, to my interactions with others, and the standards I set for myself.”
