Brash new Australian band Diamond Noir sprung almost unexpectedly from the depths of Los Angeles’ urban jungle in May 2013. When esteemed metal guitarist Howard ‘Howsie’ Noise and burgeoning vocalist/bassist Billie-Jade found themselves in the studio with ex Machine Head and Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader (Asking Alexandria, Limp Bizkit, Fear Factory, DevilDriver, Devil you Know) with their previous incarnation- a longstanding and much loved industrial rock band -they took advantage of their surroundings by forming a new group then and there. And so, in the thick of LA’s heady, intoxicating smog, and on an impulsive whim, Diamond Noir was born.
The pair returned to Australia after their month-long Hollywood musical sojourn and pieced together the rest of their line-up, finding some of the country’s most impressive talents along the way with Lee ‘Leethal’ Elliott behind the drum kit and Wayne Falzon enforcing the wall of guitars. Diamond Noir combines the imposing pedigree and varied influences of its members while refusing to be dictated by them.
