Bloodshed is the lively final single to be pulled from ICON, welcoming fast paced, playful elements that invite listeners into the spirited world Days Like These have created on their forthcoming EP. Leaning into heavy electronics that draw touches of inspiration from dubstep, the single genre-bends, painting a picture of what to expect across the extended play out mid-May.
“The energy throughout the song made me feel like I was on top of the world and could accomplish anything, which inspired me to write about pursuing Days Like These, and how that fits into my life.” tells vocalist Callen Batson.
“It specifically discusses the infinite time and effort it takes to chase these big dreams Noah and I have, and what we sacrifice and put on the line for it; quite literally, the blood, sweat and tears. I wanted this song to be honest, yet uplifting and inspiring.”
