The second instalment of Dark Down South Open Air Festival – DDSII – features the heaviest of WA Metal bands, showcasing the full array of metal genres from thrash to grindcore, death metal, doom, and everything in between.
Supporting the Singapore-based grindcore beasts Wormrot, this stellar line-up of WA metal talent includes well-known Perth and regional WA metal acts alongside some carefully hand-picked emerging bands:

Dark Down South is an all-weekend family-friendly all all-ages event with free camping on site and a BYO (no glass) policy. Patrons will be able to buy food and snacks on site, so campers don’t even need to worry about bringing cooking equipment or food! The Kirup Tavern across the road will also be catering for the DDS masses and can provide takeaway alcohol.
BYO is allowed as there will not be a bar on-site, but glass is strictly prohibited for everyone’s safety. Patrons must drink responsibly, as there will be security on-site. There will also be a total fire ban in place to protect the surrounding natural bushland and the nearby community.
This is a family-friendly all all-ages event, so everyone can enjoy it. Young ones under the age of 17 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Kids 10 and under are free; everyone else needs a ticket.

● Gates open Friday, 21st at 11 am for campers to begin setting up.
