Coming out swinging in 2025, CRY WOLF have wasted no time making their mark in the New Zealand Hard Rock/Alternative Metal scene. With members from Fire At Will, Swerve City, Coridian, and The Sun Gods, the band came together with a shared vision: to create something bold, fresh, and emotionally resonant.
Featuring Kevin Ashby (vocals, guitar), Josh Dillner (lead guitar, backing vocals), Nick Raven (bass), and James Porteous (drums), CRY WOLF have quickly built momentum through a series of singles that showcase the breadth of their sound. From the atmospheric intensity of Rainfall to the heavier, forward-looking energy of Burn, the crushing intensity and quiet melodies of Player One, and the emotional depth of Oceans, each release has added another dimension to the band’s identity.
Now, the band is preparing for the July 17 release of their debut EP, ALPHA, a six-track collection featuring their four previously released singles alongside two brand-new tracks. More than just a collection of songs, ALPHA represents the first chapter of CRY WOLF‘s journey – a statement of intent from a band driven by emotion, ambition, and a relentless creative vision.
