Crocodylus have set the date for their debut album Muscle Memory. The 14 track oeuvre will be released on November 11, 2022. New single Can’t Understand is the third taste from the album and sees the band at full throttle and serves as something of a highlight reel for everything audiences have come to expect from the trio’s music; propulsive live band performances, wily garage pop hooks, and Josh William’s unmistakably rhinal vocals that sneak in a surprising amount of heart and catharsis within his unembellished lyrics.
Drummer Mikel Salvador said “Josh (Williams – Cros lead vocalist) brought ‘Can’t Understand’ as an idea for the writing session we had for ‘Muscle Memory’ in the Blue Mountains back in 2020. We continued to flesh the song out between cosy inebriated viewings of Flight of the Conchords and the biting cold of falling snow outside. To me personally the song is about impostor syndrome in a way and not really believing you deserve certain beautiful things in your life.”
