Founded by songwriter and guitarist Rick Harkness, Criminal Hero is a Canadian rock project born in Toronto, shaped in Detroit, and now based in Vancouver. Drawing on a lifetime of musical influences while staying firmly focused on the present, Harkness has crafted a sound that bridges classic rock attitude and modern precision.
The project’s ties to Detroit’s legendary rock lineage have already earned recognition from SPIN Magazine, which described Criminal Hero as “a refreshing blast of pure Detroit-powered punk rock from Canada in the spirit of The Stooges and the MC5.”
