Crashdïet Manager’s Bizarre Death

Another sad passing has rocked the metal world, this time with the announcement that the manager of Sweden’s Crashdïet died unusually last week.

Although suspicious circumstances have been ruled out, the bands manager, Michael Sundén died on April 19th while at Swedish music venue Rock City Club during a Saxon show. The cause of death has been determined to be that Sundén slipped and fatally hit his head against a brick wall inside the venue.

An ambulance arrived at the scene within a minute of the call out and after attempts to resuscitate him, the venue was informed the next day of his passing.

This is where one would be asking, why is it that it’s the venue that is speaking out about it? Just as strange, why has the story broken so late after the fact?

Going by Crashdïet’s posts on their Facebook page, the band continued to check in at different venues while they are on a US tour with no mention of their managers death until yesterday.

“As some of you probably know by now, our manager Michael Sundén has tragically passed away. We are currently out on the road and are shocked and devastated about this horrible news!

Michael took this band to new heights that wouldn’t be possible without him. He will be missed!

Our hearts go out to his wife and kids.

LONDON, CRUZ, SWEET & YOUNG”

The venue is co-operating fully with police as the incident is being fully investigated.
