Over the last month, local bands have been submitting their expressions of interest to win the opening slot for the upcoming Cradle of Filth tour.
Tonight four lucky bands were called live on air on andrewhaug.com to be told that they were the band that lead singer Dani Filth personally chose to open the shows in each state.
With Sydney’s The Amenta already slotted as the support for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the remaining opening bands will be Ne Obliviscaris for Melbourne, Advent Sorrow for Perth, Psynonemous for Sydney and Brisbane will have Shifting The Paradigm.
Bands were told to submit a track via promoters KillRockStar Entertainment. Fan’s could then vote for their favorite band and the three bands from each state were then given to Filth to make the final decision.
The public found out the winners at the same time the bands did when Andrew Haug personally called each one to inform them on his internet radio station regular Monday show Heavy At Home.
Perth shows will have folk metal band Claim the Throne as the main support.
The tour kicks off in Brisbane on 9th of May. Check venue’s for tickets.
