Brian Posehn has had an eclectic career spanning 20 years, the American comedian/actor and writer is set to head Down Under in April 2016 for his first Australian tour, and we have a double pass to giveaway to each of his Australian dates!
Posehn has had a long-standing affinity with the metal community, in 2006, Relapse Records released his first album, Live in: Nerd Rage. It included, Metal by Numbers, which accumulated over two million views on YouTube and Myspace at the time. Brian has worked alongside metal icons such as Scott Ian (Anthrax) Joey Vera (Anthrax, Armored Saint, Fates Warning), drummer John Tempesta (The Cult, White Zombie), Jonathan Donais (Shadows Fall) and metal acts Anthrax, Lamb of God, The Damned, Evile and Steel Panther in various formats. He also featured in a voice acting role with cult metal cartoon Metalocalypse and is currently producing a comedy metal album with Scott Ian.
Brian recorded his 2nd full hour comedy special in July of 2015, in San Diego. He released his 1st one hour special, The Fartist, via Netflix in 2013. He also features in several other titles available for viewing on the streaming giant, including Mr. Show (1995-1998) and its revival series W/ Bob & David (2015). Brian also co-wrote Deadpool for Marvel Comics and has a popular podcast. He has cemented himself as the king of nerd humor, producing/appearing in culturally relevant podcasts, TV shows and movies throughout his career. He has co-starred in Universal’s feature The Five Year Engagement and in the popular Canadian indie comedy, Lloyd the Conqueror. In recent times, Brian has made guest appearances on popular sitcoms The Big Bang Theory, Guys with Kids and Anger Management.
Earlier in his career, Brian featured in prominent sitcoms Just Shoot Me, Seinfeld, News Radio, Californication, Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends. He has also appeared in movies such as Judd Apatow’s Funny People, Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
