Corey Taylor’s “New F’ing Favorite Band,” Clay J Gladstone, are back with Postmodern Teenage Angst, their first single from their upcoming debut album, slated for release later this year.
After losing his dad at a young age, Clay J’s Tim Wisbey has always harboured a fear of death and leaving loved ones behind. “I started getting wild panic attacks in my teenage years. They haven’t gone away, they just get managed. I have found some weird peace knowing we’re all walking towards the same fate. ‘Postmodern Teenage Angst’ is my way of saying you’ll never be able to keep up, but that’s ok”.
Mixed & Mastered by Shane Edwards (The Libertines, Trophy Eyes, You Me At Six) & Engineered by Daniel Antix (Stand Atlantic, The Dead Love, Pist Idiots), Postmodern Teenage Angst is Clay J’s most ferocious tune to date. With stadium-worthy live drums, raw untreated vocals, and exposed guitars, Clay J obviously aren’t afraid to break away from the current trend of digital, over-edited recordings. You can hear the palpable emotion that the band has laid bare.
