Share This:

Melbourne musicians will come together at the city’s iconic Cherry Bar to perform at a charity event for the victims of the recent Paris attacks.

On November 13th, 89 people were killed at the Bataclan in Paris whilst Eagles of Death Metal were playing a show.  One hour into their set and several gunmen opened fired killing 89 people.  The attack was one of many in the city that night.  As the music industry is known for its comradery in adverse times, an event has been organised at Melbourne’s Cherry Bar with 100% of the proceeds going to the victims of the Paris/Eagles of Death Metal tragedy.

Under the banner of ‘Zipper Down Under’, the event will take place on 2 January 2016.  The organisers are looking for musicians of all genres who are keen to perform onstage as part of this event and local visual artists and photographers who’d like to donate their Peace, Love and Death Metal inspired art for the art exhibition/ auction that will be held in the infamous back bar that Eagles Of Death Metal have spent many a night.

You can contact the organisers at  cassie@peachyentertainment.com or the[email protected]
